Previous Creative Pieces

Below is a small collection of creative works I have completed over the past years, some as recent as a few months ago in my first semester at uni. Take a look!

  1. I went through a phase where I was obsessed with drawing vintage perfume bottles. I have chosen to upload my two best from the lucky dip in my sketch book.

2. Following my perfume bottle drawing phase, I developed a fast infatuation with terrariums. Terrariums, for those of you who may not be aware, are man made transparent container’s (typically glass) holding a small crafted garden of plants, stones and moss.

A year or so after my random obsession for terrariums developed, I actually made one, woohoo! Here is a pic of it when it was alive.

3. Earlier this semester I commenced a scriptwriting for film unit. This unit opened my eyes to the importance of scriptwriting and the diversity of skills involved in the craft. Below is a draft of one of my scripts.

4. My next creative piece was a concept for service I developed in my first semester at ECU. The project objective was to establish a design that translated the subject of happiness through its operation. The two main focus’ were defining and creating happiness through a design that could be applied in some format, to the City of Fremantle, Western Australia.

The design I conceived was a project called Hi My Name Is. The project identified the issues facing homelessness in the city. The aim was to organise a program which involved homeless individuals throughout Fremantle in becoming purposeful and active members within the community.

In achieving this goal, the project involved a day event which saw volunteers, the city’s council and active homeless people set up market stalls where they would spend the day creating and selling art themed items.

Below is a poster of my final concept, explaining in detail the components of the design.
